Z-MENT's Adhesive mortar is formulated for all Z-BRICK and Z-STONE applications. Z-MENT is a high-quality acrylic-base adhesive formulated with added fibers (non-asbestos) to give the body and texture of cement mortar. It is water-based and can easily be cleaned from tools and skin while it is still moist. Once it has dried, however, it becomes permanent and insoluble in water, making it weatherproof. Before and after installing Z-BRICK products outdoors, project should be protected from rain for 3 full days, then sealed. Exteriors need to be sealed with 2 coats of Z-SEALER for waterproofing and weatherproofing. Z-MENT does not dry rock-hard as does cement and is designed with enough elasticity to allow for seasonal changes. This characteristic keeps it from cracking the way most mortars will. Z-MENT will adhere to all common building materials: Drywall is preferred, cement board, poured concrete, concrete block, fiberboard, exterior-grade plywood. Plaster is not recommended.
